Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Effective Date: 16 May 2025

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) governs the usage of GenShift services. Our goal is to ensure a secure, stable, and fair environment for all users. By activating or using any GenShift service, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below.

1. Lawful Use of Services

All activities conducted through GenShift must comply with local and international laws.

    • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all content hosted on your account and any actions performed using your credentials.

    • Legal Compliance: Any service found to be hosting illegal material will be subject to immediate review and potential termination.

2. Strictly Prohibited Content & Activities

To maintain network integrity, the following are strictly forbidden:

  • Malicious Software: Hosting or distributing malware, viruses, trojans, or ransomware.

  • Deceptive Practices: Phishing pages, fake login portals, scam websites, or fraudulent schemes.

  • Cyber Attacks: Hacking tools, brute-force scripts, or exploit attempts.

  • Intellectual Property: Pirated software, “cracks,” or unauthorized license bypassing.

  • High-Risk Content: Child exploitation material (Zero Tolerance) and terrorist-related content.

3. Anti-Spam & Email Policy

GenShift maintains a strict Zero-Spam reputation. To protect our IP address health, users may not:

  • Send unsolicited bulk emails (SPAM).

  • Use mass mailing scripts without verified double opt-in consent.

  • Spoof email headers or hide sender identities.

  • Operate open mail relays or proxies.

Note: Spam complaints may result in immediate service suspension without prior notice.

4. Resource Usage & Fair Use (FUP)

Shared resources must be used fairly to ensure performance for all customers.

  • Excessive Consumption: You may not over-utilize CPU, RAM, or Disk I/O to the point of impacting other users.

  • Restricted Processes: Cryptomining and heavy background automation are prohibited on shared/cloud plans.

  • Storage Limits: Hosting accounts must not be used as a primary file storage or personal backup repository.

  • Network Integrity: Launching or attracting DDoS attacks is strictly prohibited.

5. Reselling & Commercial Use

  • Plan Specific: Reselling is only permitted on Reseller, Master Reseller, Alpha Reseller, and Agency Hosting plans.

  • Prohibitions: You may not resell services from standard Shared or Cloud Hosting accounts.

  • Trial Period: Commercial reselling is not allowed during any trial or evaluation period.

6. Security & Account Protection

  • Unauthorized Access: Attempting to bypass security systems or accessing other users’ data is a breach of contract.

  • Credential Safety: You are responsible for maintaining strong passwords and securing your login details. GenShift is not liable for damages resulting from compromised accounts.

7. Data Responsibility & Backups

  • Self-Management: While GenShift may provide automated backups as a convenience, they are not guaranteed.

  • Off-site Copies: Users are required to maintain their own independent backups outside of the GenShift network.

  • Liability: GenShift is not responsible for data loss due to unforeseen technical failures or user error.

8. Enforcement & Termination

In the event of a policy violation, GenShift reserves the right to:

  1. Suspend the service temporarily for investigation.

  2. Remove prohibited content without notice.

  3. Terminate the account permanently without a refund for serious or repeated breaches.

9. Governing Law & Business Information

  • Registered Business Address: House 5, Street 19, Chah Maseetay Wala, Dholanwal, Bund Road, Lahore

  • Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan.

  • Jurisdiction: Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore.

9. Amendments

GenShift reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Services after updates constitute acceptance of the revised policy.
